Mar Mar Foods, a Filipino, woman-owned business located in Richmond, VA, was founded by Liza Lazaro-Matz, a first-generation American. Her upbringing involved an immersion in traditional Filipino cuisine, which later led to an exploration of Italian, Thai, Vietnamese, and Korean flavors. Following a successful career in sales and marketing, Liza devoted herself to raising her three children while also dedicating numerous volunteer hours to local schools, children’s sports teams, and non-profit organizations.
